Find your congressman's property tax bill

Remember when Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass exposed U.S. Rep. Luis Guiterrez's $275 property tax bill on a $340,000 Chicago luxury home?

The property was classified as a vacant lot. Kass found the bill by digging through hard files at the county building. Guiterrez pleaded ignorance. Of course.

If BlockShopper covers your community, you don't have to wonder anymore whether your Congressman, State Representative, Alderman or whomever is
paying their fair share. It's all right there, laid bare for everyone to
see. Just go to the search box on any page, select "homeowner" and type in their name to find the property and their bill. Then do the math.

Sunlight is the best disinfectant.
